Aaron Donald visits Pittsburgh, shares advice on mental well-being with younger athletes

PITTSBURGH — A former Pitt and current NFL star visited Pittsburgh on Saturday to help athletes manage their mental well-being.

More athletes are at the forefront of talking about mental health and their personal challenges. NFL champ Aaron Donald is one of those athletes and he came to Pittsburgh to hold his 4th annual Mental Flex Forum.

Through his foundation, AD99 Solutions, teenage athletes from across the area heard from Donald and other guest speakers about maintaining mental wellness, and how to develop coping skills. The young athletes were also educated about various resources they have right at their fingertips.

Donald said he is honored to be able to share his truth and let younger athletes know that sometimes, it is okay to not be okay. He said these conversations are much bigger than football.
